It is sad the trouble that the new unreliable translations, paraphrases, etc., have brought to the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ. They cause widespread confusion, divisions, and provide opportunity for perverting the truth.
A great deal of scholarship and theological activity is being concentrated upon an attempt to discredit the Bible. There is an all-out attack, in the name of scholarship, upon God's Word and historic Christianity. It is one of the greatest evils ever to have infested the Church. We must be committed to a belief in Scripture as word for word God-given. We must aggressively expose the arbitrary assumptions, illogical arguments, and false conclusion of the Westcott and Hort critics.
The anti-inerrancy approach to the Bible is widespread. Concessions are being made to liberal scholarship like never before regarding the authorship, date, interpretation, and the underlying text of biblical books. I hope, by these GBS Conferences, many will be led to a deeper appreciation for God's written Word and join in the Battle for Truth, the Battle for the Bible.

God has magnified His Word above all His name . (Ps. 138.2)
The King James Bible (also known as the Authorized Version) is God's Word for us today. It presents to us purity of doctrine and flawless counsel. The problems some claim to have overcoming its old English is more than made up for by its matchless beauty and accuracy. English speaking Christians own in the King James Version the greatest translation of the Bible ever produced on earth, in any tongue, and also the greatest literary masterpiece in the English language. It has no rival in the history of literature.
As we read it and believe it, the Holy Spirit will cause us to grow in both the "grace" and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ." Let us not wander about playing the game, "Eeny Meeny, Mino Mo, to which translation shall I go?", but determine in our hearts to "Hold fast the form of sound words" and "Fight the good fight of faith." The Authorized Version has been preserved for us under the singular care and providence of God. We need to believe it and practice it.
For the "Sword of the Lord",
