"This is the Lord's doing; it is marvellous in our eyes." Ps.118:23.

Dear Friends,
Warmest Christian greetings. I want to share with you some very exciting things happening with The Graceway Bible Society. God has seen fit to graciously bless GBS in many areas lately. We would like to share one of these blessings with you as well as a personal prayer request - all the results of my recent trip to ASIA.
1st. We had been receiving many requests for Bibles from the Philippines.
Many are coming to faith in our Lord Jesus Christ in that country. In order to cut down on postage we will be shipping large quantities of Scriptures to our new distribution center in the Philippines. Pastor Jun Catbagan has been appointed by your GBS Board to be GBS's Director of operations in the Philippines. He will be overseeing the distribution of the Scriptures for us in that country. A large shipment of Bibles is already on the way there. We have set a goal of $50,000. to begin with. It may be God will lay this need of Bibles for the Philippines upon your heart. Please let us know.

PRAISE THE LORD for all His mercies. This was one of the best ANNUAL MEETINGS AND CONFERENCES GBS has ever held, HELD this past Saturday, October 27, 2001. What a tremendous spirit there was at this annual meeting and conference . It was a very ambitious under taking and it went better than we ever dreamed. It was blessed of the Lord and we do thank God for all His tender mercies. The people were very understanding and kind. There were many "Amens". The Conference part was a dream come true. It was obvious that the Lord had His hand on this 33st. annual meeting and conference. Speakers gave messages that truly glorified and honoured our Lord. The people expressed complete confidence in Dr. Baker and the Canadian Board and expressed appreciation to them for the stand they take and the work they are doing.

We thank God for the Russian choir that sang at the conference, really lovely and uplifting. The congregational singing was powerful and meaningful. Praise the Lord for all His many blessings and all the wonderful help we were given. What a great bunch of people. Our new line of Bibles and N.T. were very well received.

"Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place." (2 Corinthians 2:14).

The Apostle Paul was never wearied in his work for the Lord. He gave all diligence in preaching the gospel as he travelled about from place to place making Christ known (2 Corinthians 2:12, 13). From Philippi he went to Troas and then to Macedonia, never weary in well doing. To the Galatians he said, "And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not" (Galatians 6:9). Paul had a great deal of God's work to do wherever he went. He never gave up, for ""a door was open unto [him] of the Lord." (v. 12).

God has opened many doors for GraceWay Bible Society. We have the privilege to make "manifest the savour of his knowledge" (v. 14) by the free distribution of the Scriptures to many lands. "Thanks be unto God, who always causeth us to triumph in Christ" (v.14). We are weak of ourselves, but we find "we are more than conquerors through him that loved us" (Romans 8:37). It is God who "causeth us to triumph in Christ". God Himself causeth our hearts to triumph and rejoice when we have had a part in seeing His Word successfully delivered into outstretched hands and hearts waiting to receive His Word in the Philippines, Russia, India, Peru, Barbados, etc.

Thank you to all who have a part by your prayers and your gifts to make this possible.

Let me say this, our work of Bible distribution has not been without Satanic opposition. "The powers of darkness" have been and are at work. Satan is a wily foe, quick to seize any advantage that might favour his cause. The Prince of Darkness has unnumbered hosts of evil spirits at his command. Spiritual wickedness abounds today.

Jesus even told some religious people who tried to hinder His work, that they were of their father, the devil. It is "possible to be exceedingly religious and yet under the control of the unseen prince of the world. Where there is pride and lust for vain glory, power, authoritarianism, unholy ambition for office even though it be religious; where there are doctrines contrary to the truth as it is in the Son of God; in a word, where there is uncrucified flesh according to Paul's use of the term in Galatians 5, the evil one is sure to be more or less in the saddle."

There are religious people who tried to hinder the work of GraceWay Bible Society, do we let that discourage us? No way, we must press onward in this "high calling" in the free distribution of the Holy Scriptures. Jesus said, "Be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me" says Paul.

Our initial statement is this, "Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place" (2 Corinthians 2:14). It is our aim to "make manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place". Will you dear reader, if you have not already, commit yourself to join with us in prayer and financial support of this ministry of GraceWay Bible Society in the free distribution of the Holy Scriptures? We are enlarging our distribution network and need the help of God's people. Please ask God what He would have you to do. We are looking forward to hearing from you.

Remember, our God "always causeth us to triumph in Christ," "because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world" (1 John 4:4).

God bless you in Christ,
Brother Robert A. Baker, Ph.D., General Director
